He says he's from Nigeria and his mother is from Liberia. In a recent video uploaded on YouTube where he was surrounded by four bare-breasted women, Francis claims he's a Prince of Mboke village, Ihiagwa in Owerri, Imo state. He is married with six children and lives in Johannesburg, South Africa.
Francis Kelechi Nwaneri was relatively unknown in Nigeria until yesterday when a Twitter user shared the YouTube video and questioned who he was.
"Who is this man parading himself as king of Africa.? My Naija people make it stop right now!"Ameyaw Debrah tweeted with the video.
An online search for Chief Nwaneri produced some interesting information. He is described online as the founder of "the South West African Forum, SWAF, with branches all over Africa and a vision to bring all Africans together, promoting ideals of love and peace and to resist Western intimidations. Six years he ago, he supported the work of Christ by creating the organization, Gospel Music Association of Africa, registered as Glorious Voice of Africa, in which several Gospel singers in Africa were promoted."
His online bio claims he studied Aeronautic Engineering in Britain in 1990. He returned to Nigeria six years later and got a job with the Nigerian Air Force. After getting his Scuba Open Water 1-3 Certificates in Canada, he was promoted to Flight Lieutenant in the Air Force. He created a successful company called Frankton, which packaged and airlifted goods, but he left the business for his family and went to South Africa. Once in South Africa in 2002, his plan was to study and train in "advanced shooting range, ammunition development and the handling of sophisticated weapons" but an incident caused him to change his plans.
On his way to his hotel room from O.R Tambo Airport he was attacked by some men in Hillbrow, Johannesburg. They took all his belongings. This led to him making a decision to do something about the high crime rate in the country. Following the robbery incident, he created a private security company in South Africa known as Crime Combactors and it was successful.
Because of his contribution to battling crime in South Africa, he was made the Paramount Chief of Africa by King Bungane III of Amahlubi Royal Kingdom of Embo in 2015.
